SisterSong
ACRJ is a founding member of the SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective, which uses the Reproductive Justice framework as its central organizing strategy in the protection of women's human rights in resistance to reproductive oppression. The SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective is made up of local, regional and national grassroots organizations and individuals representing the primary ethnic populations/indigenous nations in the country: Native American/Indigenous, Latina, Black/African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern/Arab American. The Collective was formed with the shared recognition that as women of color we have the right and responsibility to represent ourselves and our communities. SisterSong is committed to educating women of color on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights, and working towards the access of health services, information and resources that are culturally and linguistically appropriate through the integration of the disciplines of community organizing, Self-Help and human rights education. In October 2020, ACRJ hosted the annual SisterSong National Membership Meeting in Oakland, California. Please click here to download a PDF copy of the meeting agenda.
